GET READY FOR YOUR HEADSHOT SESSION

HAVE THE BEST POSSIBLE HEADSHOT EXPERIENCE.
Here's what you need to know.

These are some of the most common questions. Contact me if I haven't answered yours.
Schedule Me!
I need something right away, can you get me in?
Probably. And I will certainly try! Contact me directly to compare our calendars.
Do I own all the rights to my images?
You have unrestricted use of your final images, both online and print.
Can I print my images?
Yes. Your images will print sharply up to 5x7", which is perfect for business cards, book jackets, and most commercial uses. If you have larger printing requirements you can order a full-size high resolution image for an additional charge (see the pricing page).
How soon will my images be ready?
I make every effort to get your final images to you as quickly as possible. That is often within 24-48 hours. I also try to accommodate rush orders for no additional fee.
When do I pay?
You pay the session fee at the time you schedule your session. This fee will reserve your spot on my calendar and covers your  two retouched final images.  In the unlikely event that I've let you down, your session fee will be fully refunded.
Do you offer refunds?
I will refund your session fee if you aren't satisfied with your image selection. I do not offer refunds on your final images or missed appointments.
What does my $185 fee cover?
This fee is paid when you book the session to reserve your time slot. It covers the consultation, shoot, and two final images.
Will there be enough time for multiple "looks"?
Yes. We can change up your look by adding an element, like a scarf, sweater or jacket. Or glasses. Our time slots do not allow for full outfit changes or hair and makeup changes. Please contact me for custom pricing.
What happens if I'm late or miss my appointment?
You may cancel or reschedule your session without penalty up to 24 hours before your appointment. If you miss your appointment I do not refund session fees. If you are late for your appointment I will make every effort to squeeze in some shots, however I do not refund the fee.
Can I order more poses at a later time?
All poses must be ordered at your order session. I have streamlined my processes to operate as efficiently as possible and pass the savings on to you. I don't archive your proofs so there is no way to order at a later date.
Do you keep a backup of my images?
The answer is probably. But I make no guarantees. It's a good idea to make a backup of your own. Then make another. If that doesn't work, give me a call and I will check my archives. It is helpful to know the date of your photo session when attempting to locate your images and there is a $75 retrieval fee.  I do not archive your proofs.
Do you offer a group discount?
You bet! Contact me, I can come to you and make it easy and efficient for everyone on your team to get a great headshot and give your organization the professional and cohesive look you require.
How should I prepare for my shoot?
Water and rest are the best things you can do for yourself before a photo shoot. Be sure to get a good night's sleep, and drink plenty of water during the 48 hours leading up to your session. It will show in your eyes and your skin. Sunburns aren't cool so avoid too much sun. If you'll be coming straight from work, consider having a second outfit in case of spills or accidents. Bring your comb, hairbrush, lip balm, and any other toiletries you may want for a quick touch up. Your hands will likely show in a few shots, so make sure your nails are ready for the spotlight.

What do I wear?
Your outfit and accessories should never overpower or outshine you. I discourage baggy clothes and suggest outfits with multiple layers to you can get more than one look from a single shoot. Bold patterns can be distracting but trendy clothes and jewelry are awesome. However, if you plan to use the same headshot for several years I strongly suggest sticking to classics in order to avoid looking dated by next season.
Do you do actor headshots?
Yes! Contact me directly to discuss your needs.
Can headshots work as senior pictures?
You bet! A high quality headshot portrait is a great way to capture this important moment in your child's life.
Do you do traditional senior portraits?
I do. A lot of planning goes into these sessions and I have some options to work within your expectations and budget. Please contact me directly to discuss your needs.
Still have questions?
You can reach me through the contact page.
